Sam talks to world-renowned entrepreneur Tom MacGuinness, founder of Horseware, about his latest project and innovation, Horsepal. They discuss starting a business in the 1980s and how many of the same principles apply to solving problems for horse owners in the 2020s.

Horsepal is a technology monitoring system that can help manage horse health and horse performance through heart rate monitoring.

Tom is a successful entrepreneur born in Ireland.

In 1979 he took over the management of the family equestrian center and when he discovered the business was not scaleable he created Horseware in 1985.

Over the years, Horseware and Tom have won numerous awards for business, innovation, and product excellence. In 2002 he was awarded The Ernst and Young Irish Industrial Entrepreneur of the Year.

He has now created Horsepal an app made to help manage your yard and training by measuring each horse's heart rate.
